A 400 cell cat means 400 cells per square inch, offering tighter filtration. Compared to a 200 cell cat, the 400 cell design maintains better emissions performance while slightly reducing airflow restrictions.
We recommend this 400 cell catalytic converter for drivers looking to retain near factory-like emissions performance without sacrificing too much flow, and in most cases, it will not throw a check engine code.
